Scripture tells us to:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

1 John 2:15 KJV

But how often do you hear preachers preaching about “things?” Or people sacrificing their families to gain more stuff? Things are being taken away from us either through natural disaster or the IRS as much as I hate to say.

Remember God will provide our needs:

‘Moreover, my God will fill every need of yours according to his glorious wealth, in union with the Messiah Yeshua. ‘

Philippians (Php) 4:19

If God hasn’t given us millions of dollars and a big house then maybe His didn’t see that you needed it. So be content and don’t stress yourself to get more. God bless and meet your needs.
