What’s A Blood Moon?
A Blood moon occurs when the moon is perfectly aligned between Earth and the Sun. This doesn’t just happen. God literally causes this to happen to send a message. If it was normal, it wouldn’t be news and you wouldn’t be reading this post. Period.
The Blood Moon July 27, 2018 occurring over the Mid-East is the most significant Blood Moon ever! Why? Read the events that coincided with this current event leading up to the Second Coming of Christ!
- It occurred on the same year that Jerusalem was declared the Capitol city of Israel
- It coincides with Israel’s 70th anniversary since 1948
- This is the only time Mars could be seen with the naked eye!
Unlike with solar eclipses, you need no special equipment to observe lunar eclipses. These latter events, which occur when the moon passes into Earth’s shadow, are safe to view directly with the naked eye, telescopes or binoculars.
The moon turns deep red or reddish brown during eclipses, instead of going completely dark. That’s because some of the sunlight going through Earth’s atmosphere is bent around the edge of our planet and falls onto the moon’s surface. Earth’s air also scatters more shorter-wavelength light (in colors such as green or blue); what’s left is the longer-wavelength, redder end of the spectrum.
