Word of the Day: A Soft Answer

In the wake of the recent Atlanta shooting incident where a bookkeeper, Antionette Tuff, difuses a situation when a gunman walked into McNair Elementary School in Decatur, Ga. She was able to calm him down and drop his weapons through her “soft answers” such as: “everything is going to be ok” and “I love you”.

This reminds me of the scripture which says:

A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 15:1 KJV

It’s amazing how being calm and nice can turn a horrible situation completely around. I personally will learn from this situation the next time I have an unpleasant  experience with someone. How about you?
